From it's origins as a trusted name in Furniture “Aalindaya” is a family owned business belonging to the family of “Jayasinghe Cane Crafts” which has over 30 years experience in Furniture industry. With a inborn design talent & strong passion for creating Artisanal products, Founded by late Mr. Dayaratne Jayasinghe in 1990 as a small factory and later into the pioneers of cane furniture industry in Sri Lanka by manufacturing for Deshamanya Architect Geffrey Bawa Projects. Founders major work of furniture includes the Kandalama Hotel, No. 11 Geffrey Bawa House, Horagolla Wallauwa, Jetwing Hotels manufacturing Furniture based on Tropical Modernism as major contributions to Sri Lankan Architecture.
Our work is rewarded by Sri Lanka Institute of Architects for winning several awards for Sri Lanka's best interior furniture & by Sri Lanka government by winning presidential award in 2001.
Spirit to "Aalindaya" was bought his family son in law Sarath Mahagamage, granddaughter Hasini Mahagamage & her husband Kalhara Hettiwatte in 2014 as a lifestyle concept keeping late D. Jayasinghe's original furniture values to new heights.
Evolving designer products to more concepts our retail store houses mix of products including Handcrafted Artisan Furniture, Home ware, Artifacts & Crafts. Over the years we have developed the designs and styles to meet the changing market requirement from Colonial to Fushion, Deco, Minimalist, Vintage & Contemporary. Meanwhile our custom made Furniture section manufacturers detailed furniture for domestics, Hotels, Villas & Chalets. We possess the capacity and proven experience to handle large scale hotel projects in Sri Lanka. The concept behind our business is that we strongly believe & value the essence of Sri Lankan Architecture using the finest craftsmanship & materials in collaboration with the global design trends.

Targeting a local production economy in the industry the brand will platform products from various designers and sub brands within the store both physical & online.
